Media Advisory: Ambassador Power to Address the Fourth Estate Leadership
Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 10
United States Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power will deliver remarks at the closing ceremonies of the Fourth Estate Leadership Summit on Saturday, August 10 from UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles.
In keeping with her commitment to elevate human rights and human dignity at the UN and encourage others to do the same, Ambassador Power will deliver her first public speech to young activists attending the four-day conference, which is open to high school and college students, educators and activists to help them acquire the skills to make a difference in their communities and around the world. Ambassador Power will discuss her personal story and share her vision for the role that activists can play in advancing the cause of human rights worldwide. The Fourth Estate Leadership Summit was created by Invisible Children, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bringing a permanent end to atrocities committed by Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army through an integrated four part model; media, mobilization, protection and recovery.
The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. PDT and will be webstreamed at http://invisiblechildren.com/live/.
